Participation
Every Year the competition is held in mid oct--nov. The online online registrations for this years contest have been opened. The last date for submission is November the 10th. Check the registrations page for details
Who is Eligible:
- All of the individual members of a team must be Pakistani citizens at the time of registration
- All of the individual team members must be enrolled in a registered educational institute between the grades 6 and 12
- All of the individual team members must be under 18 years of age
- Teams of between 1-6 students are allowed, however, individual projects are given special consideration
Rules:
- Submission must be based on orbital settlements. settlements may be kept in any suitable orbital location, however, surface settlements based on the moon, mars or any other celestial body are not to be accepted. Settlements must be completely or partially self sufficient, settlements designed as temporary work camps are not allowed.
- Designs, models, essays, original research and other such aids to judgement may be submitted for extra credit.
- Submissions must be made in hard-copy format.
- Submissions must not exceed a maximum limit of 50 A4 sized papers, including the bibliography, and table of contents.
- A complete copy of the entry form, correctly filled with all the required information, must be attached along with the submission. You are encouraged to attach a short introduction highlighting the strong areas of your submission along with the submission as well, for the convenience of the judges.
- The submission must be the student's own work. You may quote short passages, but material copied from a source must be surrounded in double quotes (") and the source indicated.copying more than simple statistics or short passages is severely discouraged
- Instructors, teachers or parents may guide the students as to the discussion of the core concepts involved or may help the students with the arrangement and presentation of the work, however the main design and composition must be entirely student driven.
- Always include a bibliography.
- Submissions may not be returned, keep a copy for yourself
